Just a heads up: If you get shitty or mean in these comments I’ll remove them. Go be an asshole somewhere else.

Man, Civil War was really the last big comic event that I was really plugged into and so much of it was garbage or was just undone. It’s a huge thing for me how frequently significant revelations (Say Peter saying that he is Spider-Man) in comics are just undone so so much. It’s so annoying.
Every time I try to get…
Tony: Superheroes are too powerful and must be kept in check by federal/world level organizations for the sake of the public
Also Tony: How dare you try to keep me—a powerful superhero—in check!!!
“Start technology.” Autocomplete is a bastard.

I can do VR, even the Virtual Boy without getting sick.
There may be legit reasons why some people can’t use VR like disability, etc, and I feel for those people, but most of the major objections are complete hogwash.
Ironically, I couldn’t play the original Half-Life because the movement gave me simulator sickness. So now I don’t have to care that I can’t play this game because VR makes me throw up.
To be fair, most of the current gen PC hardware can run VR so if you’ve upgraded your PC anytime in the last two years with any level of gaming in mind, you’re probably good to go with your current system.
I know you’re being facetious and that It looks weird on a flat screen, but the first time you see magic floating hands perfectly mimicking your movements in VR it is incredibly immersive.
I’ve noticed that there’s a lot of wilful ignorance about VR around here. I’ve come to realize that people who consider themselves “gamers’ are extremely conservative in what they consider to be a legitimate expression of their hobby, and immediately dismissive about everything else.
I really don’t understand the whole “this sucks because it’s in VR because I have to buy a new video card” argument. It makes next to no sense.
A million user on Steam and another 4.5 million on PS4. That doesn’t even count Nintendo’s cardboard thing and the Oculust Quest who doesn’t need Steam and people who just don’t use Steam at all. Steam VR users have doubled from 2018 to 2019. As long as they don’t drastically change the support of some headsets and…
This is basically how I feel about it. I have neither the PC specs nor the VR peripherals necessary to play Alyx. But that might change eventually, either because I get lucky with money or tech gets cheaper. And since it’s an interquel, I don’t feel obligated to play it immediately.
