I know! It's okay...you can choose more if you like :)

It is simply mind-boggling to me, as a non-artist, to think how one can possibly craft stone into living flesh and whispery folds of fabric....Pieta is a statue that can make even the hardest person weep.
Haha! I know, just 'one' is a rule that I can see myself bending very quickly...I have not formally studied art but live nearby a great museum and volunteer there regularly. If I wasn't going to graduate school next month, I would definitely become a docent.
I will definitely add it! I'm heading to graduate school soon but Chicago is currently a 5 hour trip...I'm really thinking about it... :)
No line? Oh, be still my beating heart! How wonderful for you all!
*mind blown*
Not cliche at all! *grins* I love Van Gogh. I love the flowing lines and sense of nature in them. Of course, I'll one up you on cliche - Starry Night will always be one of my favorites! ;)
Ahhh a week straight? How lucky! I was there for only a weekend, but I crammed a lot in.
Thank you! You have just introduced me to a new artist! So trippy...I feel like I need to burn some incense now and go to "Google Images" and type Redon :)
"Impressionist Groupie"
Ahhhhh how I love sculptures :) Wonderful choice!
...this is...GORGEOUS.
Oh wow, this is fantastic! I am not familiar with this piece, but really enjoy the images of the boys, especially the one's almost mournful expression.
Ah, an American artist. Very nice. Is it bad that I have not really studied art from my own country? ;) So thank you for posting this. I've never seen Sargent's work in person and have only seen a few images, and never this one. It is very nice. I particularly enjoy the expression of the woman in white - it is more…
*sighs* For the longest time I've never been a big fan of Dutch art but Vermeer has helped me to appreciate it.
YAY! It is so nice to find a Bernini fan! He's never taught about in basic art hence most people do not know about him; plus I find that Americans (where I live) prefer paintings to sculpture). But yes, I love sculptures. Oh! And Matisse, yay! I get to see one of those quite often when I visit my local museum. So…
Hey Jezzies, wanna be classy with me tonight? Post your favorite piece of art - for me it is Bernini's "Ecstasy of St. Teresa" located in Rome and featured in "Angels and Demons".

"Just like Harry Potter. Only Slytherin wins every Quidditch match and every house cup!"
Word. Not about to deal with any hate on that today, no siree.
