Literally all art is subjective though?

These last two movies seem like the most egregious case of the nostalgia porn trend. Ghostbusters was not a touchy-feely family drama that should be bringing anyone to tears. It’s a pretty cynical comedy movie.

Sounds like another installment in a franchise that really didn’t need to be a franchise.

I’m sure Dalton would have sage advice on the subject.

Roadhouse is gleefully dumb, but it’s also one of the most entertaining movies of the decade. It’s infinitely rewatchable. I doubt this will be.

His smear campaign is disgusting. Not a surprise that he ran to the usual places where misogyny reins supreme—TMZ, Page Six and The Daily Mail, but I would like to mention that People Magazine, a magazine devoted to a female audience, seems all in for him too. They have regurgitated the whole sordid mess with quotes

The civil trial, covering the church’s heinous response to the Masterson allegations, is scheduled to resume in October (it was put on hold while the criminal trial played out).

And yet, Scientology leadership, which stalked, smeared and harassed these victims for years, won’t see a day of jail time.

I’m glad one of the victims was able to forgive him and no longer have to let that s*t-stain spend any more time in her waking thoughts. Now he can start to repay the debt he owes to society for what he did to her and his other victims.  Technically, he’s only repaying the debt for two of his crimes; the two specific

Burn.

They also plan on continuing this shit apparently and “moving forward with regular content.”

The father’s excuse doesn’t hold water if he and the mother had a YouTube channel, where they used deprivation of food as a routine punishment. Same thing. If starving your kids is routine punishment, the kids trying to sneak out to get food elsewhere would necessarily trigger a prison-like response - thus duct tape

“We’ve kept quiet on the subject of our sister Ruby Franke for the sake of her children.”

Uh, for the sake of her children you ABSOLUTELY SHOULD NOT have kept quiet!

I think her husband drove a lot of her career choices. She was very young when he became her manager and then married her as soon as he could (gross). Her voice is amazing. I’ve commented before on this site about how, “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now,” is some of her best work. I wish she had gone more in a quirky

The Titanic theme made her an easy target for vitriol. Plus it was still cool to make fun of accents back then.

I loved how it simultaneously paid tribute to and made fun of the madness and irony of the culinary world. Great, great flick.

I really, really wanted a cheeseburger after this movie.

I saw an early screening last week and thoroughly enjoyed it. I also liked how the trailer didn’t spoil much and things didn’t go as I assumed they would.

This was a very enjoyable movie.
