Thank you. I feel like she is just kind of a "missing the point of feminism" person, much like Taylor Swift who said that she wasn't a feminist because she never thought of the world as "Boys vs. Girls" which again, not the point at all.

Agreed! I wish she had performed and spoken more since she has so much to say and offer to the movement and she has done so much already.

Yeah, that one. Who is under scrutiny for being on the cover of that particular magazine because it makes no sense. She is a feminist when it suits her, and I don't dig that. http://www.thefrisky.com/2013-05-20/bey…

I don't understand why you brought race into it.... That has nothing to do with it. It has lots to do with how she has treated and reacted to the word feminist and how she herself works as an individual. She is a powerful and wonderful entertainer, but I don't see her as the revolutionary bringer of female empowerment

This is exactly how I feel. It's so complicated, but it makes sense. Thank you for sharing.

But that's the real problem, isn't it? That she won't out and say it. If she was really "all about female empowerment and girls ruling the world," why can't she just say it? Personally, I think being true to yourself and your beliefs is more important than being marketable, which is what it seems like she is doing by

That's not my point. My point is that she gets so offended by it, like being a feminist is dirty, that I don't understand her involvement in this movement/concert. It seems contradictory to her previous statements. They have all been covered here. Idk, not my place to judge I guess. I was just really disappointed that

Was anyone else CRAZY DISAPPOINTED in the fact that Beyonce was a performer last night? After her wishy-washy responses in regards to feminism and women's rights, I was shocked to see her as a performer and more than a little upset about it. Madonna should have been more prevalent than she was since she actually does

I am hoping that is sarcasm and if it is, gold star for you.

She has a name! Queen Grimhilde! It's one of those "No one talks about it, but people who are really into Disney fun facts know about it" facts. Like, the prince in Beauty and the Beast being named Adam.

Her real name is Queen Grimhilde, very little known fact. Just like the Beast in Beauty and the Beast is really named Prince Adam.

See, the people aren't "fake handicap" so much as "had an injury once and are using it for personal gain." I just got so mad because we were given a hard time because my grandpa "doesn't look handicapped" (according to a Small World attendant) and he is actually pretty ill, but still wants to enjoy the park with his

As a Disney person, I must say I am completely disgusted at the man who felt it appropriate to bring his gun into Walt Disney World. I understand you have your rights, but Walt Disney World? Really? You are not in danger there. Furthermore, I watched the Today show this morning where they went undercover at Disneyland

That's because it is from the Disney Store. Other stores do not sell the same kind of Disney dolls as the Disney Store. Target Disney dolls are essentially knock-offs.

Target dolls all look different from the actual Disney Store brand dolls. Like, dramatically different. This is not news. :/

Let us collectively agree that teenagers as a whole are not the brightest.

YES YES YES. Chris Evans as Human Torch is an asshole and I hate him. My celebrity sex fantasy is Chris Evans as Captain America, a.k.a. Captain Steve Rogers, because that guy is awesome. It helps that Capt. is my favorite Avenger.

This is a serious offer to anyone who may have been refused a wedding cake in the Chicago-land area: I will make your cake/cupcakes for you, no charge. I live in Chicago suburbs, I bake cakes out of my home and I can provide samples of work. Serious offer, this shit pisses me off so much. Marriage is a HUMAN right.

127 Hours is fantastic. Please see it, even though it is creepy-sounding.
