Yeah, I know it fits well with the art style of Mad Max. I just hope the first few years of the next gen won't give us every game in brown like the current one did.

This is the only way CGI should ever be used in movies: as a tool that helps telling a story. It should never be the center of attention. I'm looking at you, Transformers.
That's not the material, it's just the best that current and affordable 3D printers can do.

Everything that was criticized about the gameplay in XIII was fixed in XIII-2. The battle system is better, faster and gives you more control. The monster capture system is really deep, fun and offers a lot of variety. The game is not linear, the locations are huge with a lot of secrets, hidden things and side-quests…

Well, you kinda already answered it yourself. You didn't play it as a child or when it came out. It was a bold new direction for gaming, with never before seen graphics that made everything more cinematic. The story is a little convoluted indeed, but the presentation at the time made every flaw in the game easily…
The best season with the worst finale so far. They just needed to add one scene to make it perfect, one scene! Instead, they ended in the most anti-climatic way possible.
