Gotta agree, I like both films and have seen them many times. I saw Event Horizon in the theater as a teen with my dad and 12 year old brother. We immediately rented a bunch of family movies and watched them all night with the lights on.

It’s a minor thing, but I really like how the Discovery uses the classic federation ship shape to create it’s new advanced space fold effect. It’s a good metaphor for using familiar shapes to tell new stories.

The cynic in me is laughing at the idea of McDonald’s ad people taking in a frenzied marathon of 3 seasons of Rick and Morty to pull the few references included in the message above. It might have been someone’s only job for a day or two XD

My kneejerk reaction to folks who haven’t seen the things I love is envy. If they do decide to watch something that I’ve loved over the years, then they’ll get to see it for the first time.

I never get tired of rewatching Dark City. My ‘infinite rewatchables’ have their own special shelf. I’ll often just grab one without looking and surprise myself.

But they’ll put their top men on it.
