So yeah, your face is pretty soft.........
That excuse is very prevalent everywhere. It's wrong of course. Many of these people however are not defending piracy, but rather reacting to Matt's overzealous reaction to the story. Is piracy unethical and immoral? Yes. Is piracy cowardice? No. Is piracy theft? No.
Isn't the ego an amazing device? For instance right now yours is telling you that everyone else is wrong, and that you couldn't be wrong. It's even given you the mechanism of putting your fingers in your ears and saying "it's not worth debating". Unfortunately by not even attempting to debate, you've forfeited your…
Theft is different in that you are removing someone's use of their property in addition to extracting the value of it's worth. With piracy you only extract a portion of it's worth, the property is still available for use.
Pretty sure that if you buy a console twice and sell it twice, you should just resist the third purchase. If you needed money in a pinch, just save the cash for that pinch (it will be more than your %20 Trade in value). If you're losing interest in gaming, then obviously this third time won't be any better.
In resemblence of Mega Man they will cancel more Mega Man games. Street Fighter gets a logo.
That's too much work to enjoy the games. I'd rather just not buy them. Which is what is happening. Which is why JRPGs are becoing a joke in the gaming community. I hate to see it because it was such a part of my childhood, but it just is.
Agreed, and I think this is a lot of the problem. Hopefully it gets better =)
It would be if I were alone. We're talking about a culture divide here that is bigger than just me. I think a large part of why RPGs have fallen so much is not from their game play or mechanics, but due to the cultural divide showing more in the games due to the increased technology. A fix for this would be a…
I heard an interesting discussion the other day about how JRPGs were better when there was no voice acting because the dialogue is better delivered in your head.
How many undercover CIA agents carry their gov ID in their wallet?
I've recently taken up this habit. Half the time the heroine I create is my wife. The other half the time it's synthetic, where the proceeds from its sales let me buy more games where I create my wife.
#1 The penis is what's missing, and obviously the dad wanted his son playing more games with penises.
So you're the dad huh?
And will my console still need an always on connection? If not, I call foul sir. And I challenge Kotick to a gentlemen's duel.
Funny story, back in the late teenage years when I had to make a protection run which usually entailed me only needing to purchase one item, I'd pick up a few extras just to make it look like I wasn't just rushing out to get back for some action (I was).
Everyone can bitch all they want about how this isn't gaming, or smartphones aren't real gaming, tablets aren't for gaming. I'm sure 100% will change their mind once they have a Mario Bros. moment on a device. That's what I think hardware makers like Razr may not be seeing, and what has kept the progress of…
I may have followed the controller to see if I wanted it if i knew the price. I'll probably forget this even existed by the end of the day.
