Thanks for the tip. I still haven't purchased one, so this is good to know! I love Amazon reviews, but it's certainly not perfect in cases like this. Good reminder to look at the most recent ratings.

Yes, it's legit. My 4 year old has cute chubby cheeks that get sooo chapped. When I don't have anything else on hand, I sometimes resort to rubbing chapstick on his cheeks for a barrier in the cold.
True! I have to admit that when a post on Gawker came up about that guy in my LH RSS feed, I couldn't resist having a look see. What a gift from the Canadians!
Recently, I stopped watching/listening/reading the news and have been so much happier! I feel a little guilty for not being aware of things happening in government, for example, but my well being has gotten a lift.
The same goes for young children. If you have to drag them out of bed in the morning they need to go to bed earlier.
Damn it, I LOVE carrot cake, too. It's probably my favorite of all the cakes. And it just so happens I'm smitten with ATK. But I have no spring-form pan nor a cake pan for this recipe!
My kids were super pukers as babies. I got smart and put my bathrobe on over my work clothes to avoid multiple wardrobe changes before heading out the door. Worked really well!
Truthfully, I haven't invested myself too much in Chrome. I have my fav FF add ons and bookmark synching. It's just some place I'm real comfortable. Plus Google already owns enough of me. But it does make me crazy when FF freezes and requires a restart when it needs to install an updates, which happened today.
Don't tell my children.
Indeed. Moms have been using go bags for ages. They're called a "diaper bag."
Thanks for reaching out, Kate! Will do. Although I'm committed to Plan to Eat for the next year, so it may be a while until I get to it.
Thanks Mel, going to try this with our 4 and 6 yr olds!
Works great. I store mine in an empty Parmesan cheese container!
No kidding?! Going to try that.
Wow, what a great gift idea! I've thought about making vanilla before as holiday gifts, but I'm reluctant to ship liquids. Problem solved and it's an interactive and useful gift. I'm considering the 1 dozen deal for family, friends and teacher gifts (one for me, too!). Thanks for sharing.
I use doit.im that I read about in some user comments on an old Life Hacker post. I'm an Android user, so no CARROT for me. I know that it syncs with Google calendar, but I haven't tried that feature because I prefer for my to dos and appointments to be separate.
That is a sweet deal on the Blue Yeti. An excellent mic I use for screencasts.
I was wondering the same thing.
My folks limited TV time when I was growing up. At one point our TV broke and they were saving to buy a new one. They went to an art fair and used the TV money to buy a piece of art instead! ...we went a long while without TV, much to my disappointment.
I've never used this feature, but you can also change the number of servings to scale the recipe up or down.
