I love the photo canvas and magnet ideas. I was going to order some photo canvases at $30 a pop (on sale) as gifts, but I think I'll try making some instead! I've also seen a similar technique with photos applied to wood, which looked really cool, too.

Over the weekend, the kids and I made terrariums to give as teacher gifts. They are really cool and we enjoyed our nature walk and trip to the beach collecting moss, sand and pebbles for the project. We also made a huge batch of granola we plan to give to family in glass jars. Made the house smell great!

Just tried them all again and they're working. Thanks!

Doxie looks like a compelling alternative! Much more affordable than the Fujitsu ScanSnap. Thanks for sharing this gadget. I'd love for you to do a post that compares the two.

I was just thinking the same thing

I want an Instant Pot (pressure cooker, rice cooker, and crock pot all-in-one) that I learned about from another LifeHacker member in post comments!

The TripIt link leads to Evernote.

Try the Search Engine box in Firefox (to the left of the Address box). Way less clutter in your browser than individual explorer bars for various sites you use. You can customize the Search Engine box to include the sites you search most. It's very handy. Besides, those explorer bars usually include a lot of extra

I'm intrigued! They get excellent reviews on Amazon. I might just have to add this to my holiday wish list.

I've been using Workflowy for a while and really like it's simplicity, but that's part of the problem: It's a little too simple and doesn't have some features I'd like.

Strange, but it really works, people!
