Imagine if a public financing bill was negotiated so that a team would only get the money if they were successful (i.e. make the playoffs, at least twice in the next five years). Would that make these deals more palatable?

Two things. First, if he were truly sorry he should shut up and take his suspension. Two, if the players union actually cared about the health of their players they would tell him to take his suspension.

I use my credit card almost always and then make sure to make my payments on a weekly basis. It helps prevent me from spending too much too quickly.
