What's really fucked up is that had they suspended him for 4 or 6 games or whatever, I could move on a lot easier. I do believe in second chances, but the fact that the punishment was so light, it's harder for me to the believe this is a "second chance" rather than "business as usual with a slight bump".

This is like the people that point out that Abe Lincoln was actually a terrible racist. In the moment, yeah, it matters. However, when looking at it from a historical perspective, don't you think it is important to have a great guy example that kids watching a Disney movie might want to emulate?
