My dad had a ‘92 Suburban that was misbadged on the back. It said “CHEVROLET” in big letters, then in a bar underneath it said “BLAZER      FUEL INJECTION” instead of “SUBURBAN FUEL INJECTION”

I’m blaming Mike.  This is shit.

A decimeter is a tenth of a meter, not a device for measuring sound pressure levels (which is the “bel” part of decibel).

I think it’s partly because of the weather. If you try to race in Austin in June, people might die from heat stroke. And if you try to race in Canada in October or November, you might have snow on the track.

WHICH could be pretty cool if Pirelli provides winter tires.

If I was a Japanese girl I think I’d rather ride in a Prelude than have to take the train...

4th:
I have a plug-in hybrid. It’s very rare that I drive it around with the windows down and AC and radio off. The brakes only kick in if I come to a quick stop. Otherwise the MGU does all the braking.
Even if I am going kinda fast and press hard enough for the brakes to actually engage, the noise from the LRR tires

Why’d you mention the Volvo?  It’s pretty clear that this thing’s direct competition will be the Escape PHEV and whatever Mitubishi that nobody buys.

Can the drivers reach the tear-offs? I thought the reason F1 went without the screen was because if there was oil or something sticky splattered onto it, they’d have to go to the pits to get it cleaned off? With the visor tear-offs they can do it themselves.

I know Indy racers pit more often anyway, but it still seems

And a tip calculaor?

“...sell that information for profit.”

State agencies don’t operate for profit.

Everybody in New Jersey should go test drive this thing until it runs out of fuel and then see what the dealer does.

This isn’t a new phenomenon.  The 6.8L V-10 in my 2005 Super Duty is the same way.  I think it’s 350ish peak HP and 455 torques, but most of the torque is available just off idle.

You can “customize” any car’s VIN for $5,000 and up to 1 year in the slammer.

Yeah fuck those investor assholes.  Fuck the California State Teachers’ Retirement System, the New York State Common Retirement Sytem, the Texas Teacher’s Retirement System, etc.  Fuck them right in the ear.

It was mostly Navy planes fighting the Japanese back then.  The Air Force wasn’t yet a thing on its own either.

Fuck you Gawker for loading an image inline with a story, and then as soon as I get to it, replacing it with an autoplaying video ad.

This is what I always thought. Chevy dealers sold Chevy trucks, and Buick-Olds-Pontiac delaers sold GMC trucks.

Maybe that was only in Texas?

Europe doesn’t follow the E- and F-nomenclature that the US does.

Note that the Mustang precedes that system, the C-Max is no more, and the Transit was a commercial vehicle (and should be called Econoline anyway)

NASA wasn’t “pimping” the event — the media was. They didn’t schedule the two women to do it for any reason other than that was what fit the (amended after October’s launch abort) schedule.

And TBH it’s not an “all-woman EVA” unless the flight directors and controllers on console are all women too.
