I think that bad faith problem also seeps into the politics of general democrats too sadly. Not in a “both sides are equally bad blablabla” kind of way, but in a “I’m a leftist who’s getting really annoyed at how many of our leaders are all talk and no action and will bad faith their way out of being held to any

I remember when the big fear were the so-called “Michigan Militias” and the next Timothy McVeigh. Funny how we swept all that down the memory hole when we found an excuse to bomb brown people.

To be fair... a single absolutely insane person is a part of the world around you.

At this point, I’m really not sure why you think you have a relevant opinion on anything.

The original statement isn’t the problem. People read the statement, then asked for clarification, she made it clear how she felt. At that point, her fans tried to help her understand, and she told them off. She made it clear what her stance is several times over.

What Rowling has said is shit. Don’t defend this bigot she has more than enough money to do it herself. If someone says awful things they should be held accountable.

As an engineer, I have found that asking people who know how to do things that I don’t know how to do is a really fantastic way to not waste hours teaching myself how to do it.

I also distinctly remember learning how to use a manual can opener to open a can of cranberry sauce for a Sunday dinner. My grandfather narrated the entire thing like it was a horse race and it was a victory when I made it all the way around the lid.

Right.  Usually “teachable moments” involve teaching.

Yeah, it’s so strange he seemed to think there were only two options: open the can for her or let her struggle, hungry for six hours.

It feels like sometimes folks from marginalized groups who attain a crazy amount of success - enough so that they’re essentially inoculated to hardships by money, power, fame, etc - and are able to take a far more forgiving stance on things, especially when it comes to friends. I’m thinking similarly of Ellen paling

Teaching her how to do something can simply mean, you know, just showing her how to use a can opener. It takes 10 seconds and is a great lesson. In fact, no joke, I remember when my own dad showed me how to open a can of diced tomatoes. Guess what, it worked, because afterwards I always could open cans and am now a

Not only did Dennis Murphy throw his own staff under the bus and accused them of being too “intimidated” to save a life, he made the entire hospital look incompetent and racist.
He’s the president and CEO of IU health systems.
He’s not a leader, he’s a punk ass slimy bitch too worried about litigation versus admitting

Maybe they should have pulled those games. Maybe if these digital storefronts stop carrying broken games it would give publishers incentive to not release broken games. CDPR doesn’t care about you dude, you gain nothing by defending them.

Tell us again how crunch makes everything better, gang.

“Far from broken on PC.” Tell that to the hundreds of bugs I’ve experienced in just 6 hours of play, many of which negatively impacted my gameplay. Like when I did a mission but the game didn’t count it for some reason. I had to talk to somebody, I did talk to them, but the game didn’t push for the next objective and

Oh yeah the Franchise does have its issues from what I’ve read. But at the very least it does try to go out of its way to humanize the issues of the homeless and sex workers. Unlike Cyberpunk which doesn’t seem to want to commit to any political messages for weird reasons.

Pitting workers against each other is one of capitalism’s most disgusting features.

About damn time! Incentive bonuses are just holding one’s bonus hostage. You’re never due a bump in pay but a place makes a lot of loot, best to share it and share it early. Equity builds trust. Also, super fuck bonuses based off of Meta’s, that’s just a casino for executives that we can’t play in. At the end of the
