That’s the real weird shit about all the defense on this story. It’s not just “oh sometimes flashing lights are in games toughen up” it’s literally “we designed these flashing lights specifically the same way that devices intended to cause seizures are designed” 

It’s worth mentioning that the mechanic that can potentially induce a seizure is specifically based off a diagnostic tool meant to cause seizures. You also cannot avoid this mechanic; it’s required to complete the game.
