I absolutely loved this movie for all the reasons mentioned above. I can’t think of another movie that’s exaclty like it even though as you say we’ve seen heist movies a dozen times before.

I can see that maybe... but I gotta say some could work much better than others. I don’t think One Piece for instance would ever work as a live action. But something like Psycho Pass with a hollywood level budget would be fucking amazing.

Bleach had such an amazing first and second arc. It’s ultimate letdown towards the end was sad but it was so worth getting through the Rescue arc to see something that made you basically rethink most of what you knew up to that point. Granted after that it all started going bad. But yeah solid world building and story…

There’s some really good stuff still around. I’m currently really enjoying My Hero Academia as it has some absolutely gorgeous animation and a really fun world and story. Not the most sophisticated anime but definitely fun and really well animated.

I really felt like the pan to Theon was that it was about both of them and not showing it was the choice to avoid being gratuitous. Would you rather they stayed on her the whole time? I wouldn’t.
