I love Snyder's Batman too. I really do. But the ho-hum climax wasn't helped at all by the burn out that I experienced after the crossovers (which felt as if they'd lasted a lifetime).

To be fair, BBT mostly toned down the random geek name-dropping after the first couple seasons. So most of my hate is just residual. Every now and then though, it pops up and gives me the finger.

Honestly, I didn't even know the book was popular until this article. But if you enjoyed it then hey, that's ok. Lord knows I love some things that others probably find empty themselves. That means the time you spent reading it was worth it. I didn't, and it felt like time wasted.
