Maybe it's because I'd spent the whole summer watching "big" and "meaningful" movies. Whether they succeeded or not is a different matter.

Yeah, I had to drive 2 hours to get to a theater with Seeking a Friend for the End of the World. And unfortunately Safety Not Guaranteed never came out anywhere within that mildly acceptable perimeter.
Oh not this shit again. I thought the Prometheus arguments would finally go away after The Dark Knight Rises came out.
Why didn't they catch this Eisenberg when they had the chance?
I'm the opposite way. When I rewatch the show, I can't stand the mythology episodes (aside from a couple greats, like Anasazi, Paper Clip, or 731).
Oh man. One of my favorite movies of all time. I think my own personal moment starts at 6:35, when he see the whole city for the first time.
People can hate on the science and the plotting of the second half all they want. But it's undeniable that Sunshine was goddamned beautiful. This scene gets my vote.

Part 2 is one of my favorite episodes of the entire series :)
Well most of Batman Inc IS coherent, and really really good. It's just during a single Virtual Reality issue, and the second half of the Leviathan Strikes finale where things started to get a bit "huh?" for me.
Too bad Dwayne McDuffie is no longer with us. Nobody writes for Batman like Dwayne writes for Batman.
It felt good to swear at a game again
BustingLenin already said this, but he/she's totally right. Grant Morrison can be genius most of the time, but he occasionally seems to have a mental episode of sorts and it can be damn near impossible to keep up. Final Crisis was definitely him at the height of insanity. And I don't know if it was just me or not, but…
