I think to become president/first lady, you basically have to be a Slytherin. Even morons like GWB. There were dumb Slytherins, they just attached themselves to smarter people and got power that way.

Michelle plays the long game. That woman thinks weeks and months in advance. You’re thinking about your lunch, she’s thinking about dinner next year. She’d be a fiend as a con, we’re lucky she’s chosen to use her skills for good.

So although far from a shade expert, I try to educate the people as best I can. This week a Facebook friend posted something about Tim Kaine throwing shade at Mike Pence (it was nothing close to shade). I commented explaining why this was not, in fact, shade. And she ERASED my comment.

One of the projections has it heading to New England and hitting on Friday. And... the next day my wedding is in Providence, and ironically, my name is Matthew. I just... hope it goes the way of the European model...

Back in the Blockbuster days, my mom picked some random movie we’d never heard of and then I sat down to watch it with Mom, Dad, big sis, and big sissy’s bff. The movie was Quills, about the Marquis de Sade.

This is one of my favorite books in the world written by one of my favorite authors. Seriously, I’ve loved everything Madeline L’Engle has written. They’re getting hard to find, but her books are treasures.

I thought that she wasn’t necessarily ugly, she just perceived herself as such. Of course, I haven’t read the books in a long time.

Cool, definitely going to see this. Not the cast I had in my mind’s eye when I read the books, but I guess that’s my problem unless I want to shell out the production cost for a movie and cast it myself. I’m really dubious about Oprah since she’s such a ham, but Kaling and Witherspoon are solid and I’m sure this kid…

Yes, my heart breaks for the PTSD suffered by the rapist who got caught, convicted, and was punished with a slap on the wrist.

Thank you for articulating my thoughts. I am very conflicted about all of this because I’m certainly not pro child molester but these people have done their time as required under our justice system.

I don’t like sex offenders any more than the next person, but I think it’s pretty dangerous to make their lives so damned unlivable that the ones who want to be rehabilitated lose any motivation to stay on the right path.
