Wellington, New Zealand: every place here is a good place to eat. Bars are open until “late” (i.e. until people decide to leave), so weekend brunches typically go all day. We’re known for our coffee - you’ll only find one Starbucks in the entire city, as the others have closed up - and most breakfast places serve…
I live in Wellington, NZ and I think the same can be said for here. It is difficult to eat badly here, or even get a bad cup of coffee (unless you go to the *one* Starbucks). I’ve visited Melbourne and it is lovely - the laneways are great!
Oh, there’s a bottom. His name is Lindsey Graham.
Correct, he did nothing wrong. He asked for someone corrupt to be removed so that an investigation COULD HAPPEN. Are you really that dense? His actions were out in the open and sanctioned because of the corruption. His actions meant that an investigation of the company was MORE probable.
I’ve seen it twice now. The first time, I was just stunned by the beautiful scenes, how badass Rey is and the incredible connection between her and Ben. And the love between her, Poe and Finn!
Luke and Leia did it in the the Last Jedi. FFS.
I am hoping these are all new/different stories, and not taken from the “Fieldwork Fail” book by Jim Jourdane.
I’m in the minority here, but I thought this was the second weakest episode of the season. The Scout Troopers? Yeah, they are the best shooters of all the Troopers. And they are clones. The dialogue throughout the whole episode was awkward at best and complete shit at worst. Sure, the reveal of the dark sabre was…
I also agree with everything here. Plus the points I made above (i.e. Scout Troopers are clones and should all sound the same, they are also great shooters and wouldn’t have missed whatever they were shooting at). And the dialogue! Awful! This episode was almost as horrible as the one where they broke that dude out…
Did we watch the same episode? I felt this was one of the weakest of the season - the dialogue was awful. Beyond awful. Scout Troopers are clones and should sound the same, for one, and I just didn’t buy that’s how they would act. They are also the best shooters of the troopers. I get the joke, but it was misplaced.
Tipping is outdated and should be done with. You’d enjoy living overseas where not even taxi drivers are tipped!!
Holy hell - only in America. I’d encourage people to travel and/or live overseas to understand how unnecessary tipping is. I think Americans hold on to it because it introduces a class system of sorts - those who tip well can brag about it to show how well they are doing and/or how generous they are. They can use it…
It is clear from the lividity that there is no way he committed the crime. His lawyer was so crap! Seriously, that one argument would have dismantled the State’s case.
We’re into the second season now, and it’s still hilarious. I live in Wellington, and it’s great to see all the little Easter eggs and references (esp the newspaper headlines at the beginning of each episode).
Completely understand - once I learned this a few years back, Southwest is my preferred airline when I’m travelling in the US. (That and the 2 “free” bags thing.)
I also recommend Rainy Mood -they have a website as well as an app. The great thing about the app is that it still plays even if you have a podcast or music playing in another app. You can also adjust the volume level within the app so that it’s just a low hum below the other thing you may want to listen to. They…
I used Google until it went away, and then switched to Mr Reader. I still keep an old (un-updated) iPad so I can still have Mr Reader. I have moved Feedly, but prefer the Feeddler app, to Feedly’s app. Still, nothing will be better than Mr Reader - one day I will learn how to code and make a clone of it.
Agreed (white woman in my 40s). I found her unwatchable and stopped about 10 or so minutes in.
I don’t know about specific coat brands, but I will tell you what I learned when I moved from Oklahoma to Erie, PA decades ago: buy a coat that has closed pockets. That is, pockets that zip or button closed. You’ll be spending a fair amount of time clearing snow off your car, and it will go *right* into your pockets…
