I also agree with everything here.  Plus the points I made above (i.e. Scout Troopers are clones and should all sound the same, they are also great shooters and wouldn’t have missed whatever they were shooting at).  And the dialogue! Awful!  This episode was almost as horrible as the one where they broke that dude out

Did we watch the same episode? I felt this was one of the weakest of the season - the dialogue was awful. Beyond awful. Scout Troopers are clones and should sound the same, for one, and I just didn’t buy that’s how they would act. They are also the best shooters of the troopers. I get the joke, but it was misplaced.

Tipping is outdated and should be done with.  You’d enjoy living overseas where not even taxi drivers are tipped!!

Holy hell - only in America. I’d encourage people to travel and/or live overseas to understand how unnecessary tipping is. I think Americans hold on to it because it introduces a class system of sorts - those who tip well can brag about it to show how well they are doing and/or how generous they are. They can use it

It is clear from the lividity that there is no way he committed the crime. His lawyer was so crap! Seriously, that one argument would have dismantled the State’s case.

Completely understand - once I learned this a few years back, Southwest is my preferred airline when I’m travelling in the US. (That and the 2 “free” bags thing.)

I also recommend Rainy Mood -they have a website as well as an app.  The great thing about the app is that it still plays even if you have a podcast or music playing in another app.  You can also adjust the volume level within the app so that it’s just a low hum below the other thing you may want to listen to.  They

I used Google until it went away, and then switched to Mr Reader. I still keep an old (un-updated) iPad so I can still have Mr Reader. I have moved Feedly, but prefer the Feeddler app, to Feedly’s app.  Still, nothing will be better than Mr Reader - one day I will learn how to code and make a clone of it.

Agreed (white woman in my 40s).  I found her unwatchable and stopped about 10 or so minutes in.

I don’t know about specific coat brands, but I will tell you what I learned when I moved from Oklahoma to Erie, PA decades ago:  buy a coat that has closed pockets.  That is, pockets that zip or button closed. You’ll be spending a fair amount of time clearing snow off your car, and it will go *right* into your pockets

Fortunately it’s not on a regular city street.  The museum is part of a “town square” - there’s no accidentally walking past it.

Wellingtonian here - yeah, not sure.  Our $$ has gone to worse things, though. (Like our public toilets that look like lobsters.)

How am I still in the greys when I’ve had this account forever AND I actually live in New Zealand?

Apologies - our media has now confirmed 49 dead. :(

Jacinda and police have confirmed 40 deaths. I am beyond devastated as a US expat and dual citizen. I would have never expected this here. This will change NZ. :(

Tipping culture is so weird. Waiting for the day the US realises that business should assume the cost of paying staff is the better way to go. I think Americans hold on to it because it’s the primary way to have a class system.

New Zealand, too!

Or you could live in New Zealand where we have that, but also no tipping. :)

My husband and I went to Costa Rica in 2017 specifically to volunteer at the Alturas Wildlife Sanctuary. It was hard work, but incredibly rewarding. I recommend the place - they esp need volunteers in September and October.

I got used to the Piitsburgh left, then I moved to New zealand where everyone everywhere does it. Because it was written in the law! Then they changed the law: chaos.
