Nope.

You’d be silly to buy a new Avalon. But, they were often screaming deals in the before time. Low 20s for a 2 year old lease return with old lady miles.

I hate the Avalon.

I bought a 2019 Camry two years ago, and considered the Avalon - the biggest downside was the price: A Camry was $27,000 (Can.) whereas the Avalon was $42,000. The problem is, I think, it has a slight bit more space, but the Camry has all the features available for a not-insignificant amount less. I’d say the Camry

Today’s lesson, snowflakes:  Quit when things get hard.  Don’t work any icky dirty jobs - the world will take care of you.

Biden is supposed to be a do nothing president. He's just a placeholder between the dry run of corporate fascism, Trump, and the full fascist takeover after the Democrats get destroyed in the midterms next year. Notice he still supports the filibuster as it is.

And because Biden goes around Congress, these will be repealed/altered in 2024. This needs to be hashed out be elected representatives, not dictated by one person in a half-ass manner to get a re-election point. That goes for Ds and Rs. Uncertainty in the market place creates higher prices.

I hate that people keep saying Trump “rolled back” the Obama emissions standards.  In actuality, he froze them and didn’t roll them back.  Probably still not the right thing to do but WTF?

My frustration with “Death-Proof” anything is that no matter how much safety you put into something you are always going have people dying no matter what the situation is. I’m all for making thing safer but try make things death-proof is impossible.

“watch a time lapse of this guy throwing away 50 filters”

Filters aren’t going to undo the effects of heat on the oil, and that concept isn’t exactly revelatory...

Just wrap your ride in tin foil. Done.

The Question really should be reversed: “What’s worth going cheap on.”

Harbor freight is great, you just can’t buy anyting that can 1) kill you if it fails 2) create a significantly more expensive problem if it fails.

There are a number of things that are absolutely great that come from Harbor Freight (their jacks, for example, are incredibly widely used. I have three of them). Their large hanging LED lights are really nice - I just installed a pair in my mom’s garage (built in the 50's, single light bulb in the middle - basically

Tires. Don’t buy the cheap Chinese/Taiwanese tires that are extremely hard and increase your braking distance. They lack grip and tend to handle abysmally in the rain. There’s plenty of cheap tires made by proper tire manufacturers you should buy instead if you’re working with a limited budget.

It’s concerning when a racing game shows more uncanny valley characters doing shit nobody cares about instead of actual racing mechanics, proper car sounds, racetracks, etc.

As far as I’m concerned Codemasters’ racing game releases peaked in 1991 with Micro Machines on NES. This is a hill I will die on.

So you pull the cord when you think you’re about to crash? Seems plausible.

It is for a niche market.
