you’re an optimist, i see... :D
just a cursory glance on the leboncoin, the french version of claigslist i suppose, and the first one to pop was this...
first thing i thought of...
i guess for the 35th anniversary that would be an “OK” gift... :D
this song reminds of the late 90s and university and lving in a housing co-op, i really liked this album.
this advertisement for guinness lead me to search for the original, which lead me to the movie, which is brilliant with some amazing choreography by bob foss.
i have traveled enough to know that a positive attitude and some effort will go a long ways almost everywhere. :)
i think some of the rude french stereotype comes from simple french pride. they are a proud people, and rightfully so. i think americans tend to forget that other civilizations have the right to be proud too, and the french have been around for more than 2000 yeards, depending on who you ask.
travel hook-ups are great! i promised my french girl that i would come back one day. i did not know it would take 13 years and completely losing track her and then finding each other on myspace again... but we’re married now. :D

nah, that is not train heaven to me... i was just reminiscing about train travel while i was in india. i traveled all over india, over 7 months. i found the best for me was 2nd class reserved sleeper, me taking the top bunk. i took the top bunk of the berth because during the day the middle folded down and became the…
it’s called karma, and i learned to accept my karma after several months in india and riding on buses everywhere. especially after making the mistake of sitting behind the driver and seeing everything heading straight for you. :)
ha! i am reminded on the time that was doing a temp job for “la poste” in france. driving to the collection center in the pre-dawn hours i saw an honest to god burning bush by the side of the road. a bush, burning, on the side of the road, in the dark, nothing else. i jokingly said out loud... “ok god, any…
