Anything more than a week or two of mandatory leave is unthinkable for many professions. I cultivate close relationships with my clients and there is no way I could simply dump them on another attorney just because I had a child. To think that a law would be put in place to force such a move is really absurd. Unless

That was my first thought while reading this. Who the fuck is this guy and how the fuck is the the hottest actor around? I call all the bullshits.

To be fair, I regularly tell other men who wear square-toed shoes or sneakers with suits that they deserve to be murdered. Just saying.

As a man and avid stout drinker, I wholeheartedly agree.

That was actually what got me started on them in the first place. I'm not much of an environmentalist but there is something unseemly about discarded razorblades in landfills. I haven't purchased a pack of razors in over two years now, though I'm on the last one for my quick shaves. Suppose I'll have to get better at

Not too many straight razor shavers, apparently.

Yes, because what this discussion needs is women telling other women who feel they are overweight that they aren't fat enough to justify feeling that way. Give it to them from both sides, that'll show 'em!

You are getting a surprising amount of vitriol for what I thought to be a relatively reasonable post. Anyone claiming that the discipline required over a lifetime to be healthy and fit is not at all virtuous is just being defensive. Don't let the fatsplainers derail your motivation or desire for self-improvement.

Not sure how the CTS affects your wrist in particular but I have a bone spur in my wrist that severely limits my range of motion. I use some PVC pushup handles that I made and I find very little pressure or stretching on the joint when using them. Your wrist maintains a straight, natural position, for the most part.

As some other commenters suggested, wall pushups or pushups on elevated (structurally sound) items are good. Countertops or staircases are highly recommended. With staircases, you can work down a step at a time as you feel yourself becoming stronger. Keep your form solid and you will progress quickly. Good luck!

What an utterly dilatory comment. If you do them right, the impact is really fairly minimal, assuming you have any muscle mass at all. If it's jarring, you're doing it wrong. It's like any other plyo movement where soft, light landings are the key to doing it safely.

Unless you live in some rural, backwoods shithole, the walking/public transit feature is fantastic. People in real cities walk a lot.

Your comment was not logical, it was emotional and anecdotal. The iPhone platform may have once been the best on the market but it no longer is, by any standard of measure other than sales. And if you suggest that sales numbers are the best measure of a product's quality, I have a Camry I'd love to trade you for a

That, or the staircase in the house from Clockwork Orange.

From a trial in a courtroom in which the judge was formerly a litigator at the firm that represented Apple (and likely actually represented them herself) and the jury foreman has admitted to convincing the rest of the jury to side with Apple because he himself once patented some stupid bullshit in the 70s.

That TV will be manufactured by Samsung. Just sayin'.

No, you won't. With your attitude, you have probably raised a child that has an inherent disrespect for police, making them more likely to refuse to comply and create a scenario in which even a bad cop can claim legitimacy in the use of a taser. Mutual respect goes a long way.

...which can still be seized with a warrant or court order.

It's not without a warrant, really. A court order demanding the communications be turned over doesn't violate anyone's rights.

Even explicitly private material can be seized with a court order or warrant. The reasonable expectation of privacy only protects you from searches or seizures without a warrant.
