Where did I suggest he's typical?

Where did, in my repeatedly saying he *is* responsible, suggest he's not?

Where is, in my saying "the victim deserves all the sympathy in the world" and repeatedly saying the first priority should be her safety and comfort did I suggest she shouldn't be focused on?

All I did was speak to

Also, pleasepleaseplease do not respond to me any more.

I'm no longer in an emotional state to have an ongoing rational discussion about this. I can't figure out how to set it so I don't receive any future notifications about this post, so if you want to tell me how to do that, I'd be thrilled. And then feel free to

Mis-post.

Why is adulthood magical like that, where someone suddenly no longer deserves any sympathy? Is all therapy 100% successful at 18 or something? Is his disorder no-longer relevant in affecting his actions and outcome in life, and now it's 100% his responsibility?

What makes adulthood so special that my simple argument -

Actually, not learning well from outcomes is a key part of ASD. That's typically a functional part of what leads to the social difficulties later on - the inability to integrate sensory and emotional experience into a model that's useful in a predictive sense moving forward. Impaired episodic memory leaving difficulty

See, you've just told me "her feelings are more important than his feelings." Then you've trivialized his feelings with phrases like "wittle feewings."

This is exactly what I'm talking about. You don't understand aspergers in the slightest if you can trivialize it to "struggle to understand social cues." Imagine

And do you think he feels safe in jail, confused about why he's there, what he's done, and how to correct the issue? Does he have a right to feel safe, too, in a world where he's arrested for something he doesn't understand is socially unacceptable? Is there evidence violence was planned or likely that warrants

Hi. I've never posted on Jezebel before, though I've read it for quite a while. I'm... probably not the best feminist in the world. Conceptually I believe in equality for everyone. Period. But like many white males I'm quite certain I lapse into privileged speech at times. I want to apologize in advance if I do it

It sounds like the vehicles are much more out of whack than the infantry weapons.

This is the engine they're using for EQ3.

I play NC. Vanu scare me a lot more than TR. While I know a TR HA is terrifying (the Carve is a beast) Vanu seem to have fairly decent starter guns for everyone. I think their guns are the easiest to just "pick up and use" for people coming from a lot of other shooters. Their aim is very stable, and the bullet drop is

There's next to no story in this game, but at the same time when you start noticing the "Nanite Systems" logo everywhere, and start thinking about the setting (continents with no habitation on them, just bases that seem to do nothing) and the fact that the company profits from the war since they manufacture most of

This one basically rewards all actions. Heal someone? Get XP. Rez someone? Get XP. Give someone ammo? Get XP. Drive a respawn point out? Get XP for each person who uses it. Etc, etc, etc. You could unlock everything in this game without ever firing a shot.

The default dumb-fire rocket does more damage per shot on tanks than the others do. AFAIK it takes one less rocket to kill some vehicles, which is a benefit when you're alone and trying to get a tank dead before it gets you.

To be fair, this game's purpose and heart *are* other people. The most satisfying experiences in Planetside come when a group of people comes together, and actually coordinates. You have a plan, you get your vehicles set up, everyone has a role, you all know the map, and everything comes together.

Just as a note, I have a $900 HP (as in, more expensive than its parts warrant) PC that's about 10 months old now (including the price of an after-purchase video card I added in about 3 months after purchase) that runs the game pretty consistently at 30+ FPS. While that's not great, it's definitely playable, and to be

It actually doesn't really require absurd PC specs so much as being brutally punishing to AMD/ATI systems right now, for whatever reasons.

Accidentally put this in the wrong spot earlier:

If you had one short lesson on statistics that people seem to just not get (such as the idea that one of those 8% events happening doesn't necessarily mean the model was wrong, because it included the possibility that even could happen) and that you'd like to share to help understanding, what would it be?

If I understand correctly, yes, one of the new features of BFG edition is flashlights being usable while using guns.
