Honestly, I'd say the original Xbox port of Doom 3 looked better than most of the games that came out for the '360 in the first year it was out, resolution aside. The lighting in it was pretty darn good, and the texture quality was pretty impressive for the system.

From what I read, somehow Diablo reveals your session ID when in a public game (I've read it's related to achievements, I've also read it just happens when you join games, I've also read that it may be unique to the Euro realm).

This is basically my exact feeling on the issue.

Lyrics are just words. They can be shared without any sound at all, as text. They aren't sound until woven into a song with music. Claiming lyrics are sound just to make this argument is a bit of a failure.

And if they'd just concluded the story with ep 2 I'd be right there with you. I'm all for game companies moving on to new things, but not leaving stories hanging.

Where did I say or even suggest anything was "owed?" Though now that I think about it, I do feel I'm owed something. I paid them for a story with HL2 - I got part of one. It's like buying Star Wars and having the movie end at the line "That's no moon..." All I'm saying is that Valve made a choice to make their games

Here's the deal - You get to do new things and stop working on popular series, OR you get to end each game in cliffhangers leaving your audience wondering what happens next or how the story ends. You do not get to do both. It's just mean. It wouldn't be so bad if they were actively and openly attempting to finis the

I don't find the positioning itself too bad. While it's a lot of presses, I was able to figure out where to look almost immediately. A lot better than the missing "Netflix" when you expect to still have it installed. Not *good* really, but not as bad as it could've been.

TBH I wouldn't want UPS to deliver things before their scheduled date. They usually deliver at about 1pm on the day they're supposed to deliver, but if things arrived early I wouldn't be able to attempt to meet important items.

I generally have much better luck with UPS. But any situation where the employee has a financial disincentive to do a good job is a problem, as described by someone further down.

Note (since it's often not clear from the name): I am a guy. These are the opinions of a guy. I feel like it shouldn't matter, but I suspect to some it might.

Yeah, but we used to same the same thing about it being ridiculous for them to charge us for additional characters, rather than having them unlock from various conditions within the game.

What about the Dopefish graffiti? Seriously, that's like one of the longer running easter eggs in videogames! It seems like it ought to be worth a highlight. Then I did a search on Kotaku and got "Your search "dopefish" did not match any posts" and was somewhat depressed.

There's a third group, the one that believes it's much more complex than simply "I value gameplay most" or "I value everything."

The trailer didn't really give me anything interesting in regard to talking about mortality and death, and the meaning of life. I can't see from it how it'll answer those questions.

I definitely don't know her whole history or anything, but as far as I know she's typically a gag character. She's defeated the likes of Thanos and Fin Fang Foom, but at least in the appearances I've seen her in, she's never been a serious character. So I'd imagine she's "the worst thing to happen to comics" for those

What I don't get is the fact that you don't get that I'm fully aware there's no unabridged version.

Yeah, I just mainly wanted to clarify there's also a real book the movie's more or less based on. My error, really, was that I just assumed the article was referencing the movie. In reality, I suppose it could've been referencing the original book, too.

The Elder Scrolls don't exist in any form in the real world at all though. Nor does the framing narrative of Star Wars. I didn't mean to say simply "Epic Fail Kotaku!" or anything. Just clarify that it's a real book (or at least, a real summary of the 'good parts' of a book).

I'd just like to briefly mention that "The Princess Bride" is actually a real book, and that the movie was based on it.
