60mph is slow compared to a Rion R90. That’s limited to 80mph, but if bypassed it’ll reach 100mph. The Dualtron X with it’s 62mph limiter removed will can hit 75mph.

I think we have quite a few riders in the Bay Area ESK8 group rides who are faster than 60mph.

Stop the candy (from a baby) steal! There was widespread fraud that invalidates these results. People are saying they saw big Nerds drops in Nevada just after midnight. And how is it there are more Kit Kats in Michigan than people? Huh? Huh? Bet you can’t explain that!

You beat me to it. I obviously haven’t watched NTTD, but I question if it’s more emotional than OHMSS.

I don’t understand blanket statements about movies being too long. Apart from a physical comfort limitation for human beings to be sitting without getting up and stretching, the limitation for the length of a film is how long do people (not counting the ones with no attention span) stay engaged, and enjoying watching

At this point, I think Netflix is just try work out how they can provide more jobs for British actors.

Americans, rightfully so, take a dim view of general identification requirements, and this was only heightened since the abuses of centralized records in Nazi Germany and the Communist Bloc.

Now playing

I take your very obvious Matrix reference (did anyone not know about this?) and raise you a Brainstorm from 1983:

Now playing

Knowing that most people will think this idea was first shown in The Matrix, I present Brainstorm from 1983 and this very period trailer:

Imagine what state-sponsored hackers would be able to do with this.

A bit like LG themselves beating Apple to the punch with a multitouch (capacitive), full screen smartphone with the Shine and Prada phone. Of course most of the world credits Apple with this innovation when they were just integrating other companies’ technologies and adding their own (good) UI.

To be accurate, Royole beat everyone to the punch with a folding phone: the Royole FlexPai which was announced at CES 2018 and shipped in Dec that year.

MR is not VR. MR aims to be more like normal glasses or sunglasses with data overlaid on the real world. Think Google Glasses type of thing.

Of course mixed reality glasses will wirelessly tether to a phone in your pocket. A pair of glasses needs to be as close to normal sunglasses in size and weight as possible, but wants to have as much processing power as possible along with all the various wireless communications channels (LTE, WIFI, BT, GPS, etc.).

Where did I say that everything Maher says is fair? You called him an “outright bigot” dismissing everything he has to say. That’s so intellectually lazy.

Really? Bill Maher calling out cultures where women are treated a second class citizens bigoted? Is his calling capital punishment by these groups for relatively minor offenses (like being an apostate) bigoted?

Agreed. Calling standing for liberal values and being critical of groups who would likely kill Tom McKay for not living according to their strict repressive code, part of “Rushdie’s whole shtick” displays an incredibly shallow level of thinking.

I call bullshit on your virtue-signally claim that “New Atheism” is Islamophobic. Being tolerant of the oppression of women, and the demand that apostates be killed is not a liberal value.

Anything that forces Hollywood to pay more attention to plot and character, instead of big-screen visual spectacle backed up by cliché-laden lazy writing is a good thing in my book.

This is what “freedumb” looks like.

Oh, those poor people! US Airlines!
