Sadly the word “jingoism” isn’t in the American vocabulary. In European countries they know first hand that there’s a point where excessive patriotism becomes destructive. That is jingoism.

The movie was good! Unlike Star Wars and the movies it inspired, Logan’s Run actually had something to say about our society and its trajectory. It left me with things to ponder. As opposed to Star Wars, which is little more than a theme park ride: a fun experience, but no substance.

Some of the videos look like they could be loose debris on the image sensor package glass. I don’t know if there is corroborating eye contact that matches the image intensifier video, but as a professional in the field of electronic imaging, that’s where I would start looking,

I can’t live without my Oregon Scientific projector clock. I wake up too many times during the night, and looking at the ceiling to tell the time allows me to quickly get back to sleep if it’s too early to get up.

You’re using a logical fallacy called “an argument from incredulity”, aka “an argument from a lack of imagination”. Just because we don’t know what these are doesn’t make aliens the default explanation. We would need evidence that these UFOs are aliens, not some kind of “aliens of the gaps” argument.

Please provide some evidence for this? I’d like to read up on it, and make sure it’s not part of the normal one-dimensional (single cause of a problem) thinking that seems to pervade modern America.
