Yeah, well don't get me started on CNN. When the iPhone first came out, they gave it so much airtime, with their idiotic anchors talking as though it were the first ever phone to be able to get e-mail and browse the web.

Simple. Because it requires long term investment of public funds. While the economic success of the LA region is in large part due far-sighted infrastructure investment in the 1940s, the last couple of generations care for little more than immediate gratification.
This is a boring article! (Sorry, I couldn't resist!)
Every single company producing an electronic product that with FCC or CE certification does this. It's not only Apple. There was no need to give them a shout out in this article.
Forget the SRGB color gamut! It's the wider AdobeRGB color gamut that should be the metric for any display wanting to be taken seriously for photographic applications.
Yes, there is a drink here named that. Someone should invent a drink in the UK called "Twin Towers", because you have to down it in one. I'm sure Americans would find that just as amusing as they find the "Irish Car Bomb".
Bethesda shouldn't mind, people there are looking forward to owning a Pip-Boy 3000.
This has a lot of similarities with Soitec's "Smart Cut" technology that is used to manufacture most of the silicon-on-insulator wafers in the world. Although in Soitec's case they bond to a handle wafer rather than creating a very thin layer, as their intention is to create a layer of silicon on a silicon dioxide…
We are omnivores, not carnivores. Our bodies are designed to eat meat sparingly. Tucking in to a 16oz steak every day is not a natural human diet.
The image of ancient humans being big game hunters is largely a myth. While large game was eaten sometimes, most meat came from much less majestic beasts like rabbits, rodents and fowl.
Lifestyle, including diet, will affect how you age. Good diet will increase the chance of being old and still active, instead of stuck in one of those nursing homes.
Now if only they could work out how to tether a WiFi-only iPad to an iPhone, I'd be really happy.
Staid? I don't think that's a fair label for the modern BBC. Back in the 1950s maybe!
Just to set the record straight, this is an old technique and not a new Apple invention.
For the last year I've been asking why Wacom hasn't done this. I thought it would be possible to relay pressure over Bluetooth. I guess the power consumption would have been poor until BT 4.
This illustrates how useful this would be on tanks and other military vehicles.
Very nice article!
After 2-3 years of assuming that I'd upgrade to the Mk III, I'm now thinking that I'll hold on to my Mk II. While I'm interested in seeing how high ISOs and the AF of the Mk III compare (I'm not interested in video), that $3500 is putting me off. I could buy some nice new glass for that.
97% of climate scientist say it's human activity that is responsible. If you think that means doubt, you should start disagreeing with every scientific consensus, as that's a close to unanimous as it gets.
This is such a storm in a teacup!
