I am from Mexico, but ever since I came to love in the US (Georgia of all places) I've wanted to be a Julia Sugarbaker. Dixie Carter was great in that role.

Top of the morning, Megan!

My kids had this 2 summers ago. They go to public school, and got it a a private language school where I was sending them on weekends. I'm saying this because their school is 65% Hispanic with most of those kids with free lunches, so the idea (prevalent in many places) that this is a low-income problem is incorrect.

That statement is so offensive I can't type from the rage.I know what he is aiming for is the shock value, and it shocked me, so I guess he wins.

@curiousgeorgiana: Those 10s I got in school in México really put me over the curve, don't they?

@Katharsis: Or like Beck, who doesn't want to pay taxes to the government but got his education at "the library — books are free".

Two things will happen:

@s.eth: Purdue didn't either. He did mention Jewish people. Is that why he got a pass?

Look, the same thing was done in Georgia last year and this year. Not only April was deemed Confederate History Month, it was made permanent. I just don't get why it wasn't a big deal then and this one is. They are both Southern states and both Republican governors.

@BeSarcastic: Congrats girl, I was one of the ones that submitted your comment for COTD. BTW, I intend to use it in my daily life.

Here is the Georgia story:

@Little Green Frog: I'm still mad at Marie Claire for getting me to discuss Jessica Simpson's looks. I fell into their trap.

She is wearing mascara and eyeliner in #1 and #3 (the difference is really noticeable in her eyes in #1 and #2).

I' ve always been Team Cheesecake (as opposed to Team Cake or Pie), so I'd like to say that:
