Ohhhhhhhhhhhh now I see your point. If it's 1.73, it won't be that massive number. NOW I get it. I'm in Europe, and I still prefer to use lbs for weight because it gives me more of a sense of achievement when I lose one. :-/

You make a good point; often these comments are misconstrued because it's an emotionally charged situation. Something that was marginally poorly phrased can become a monumental PR disaster, after the chain of whispers takes effect.

Hahaha!

As a non-American: it's okay, we know it's not all of you.

This scene is so beautiful for exactly that reason... you'd think he'd be completely worn out by now, but that's a look of pride on his face. He's soaking it all in, and he looks happy and grateful and humble. God, I love that man.

He has a real, beating, feeling human heart and I can't even taaaaaaaaaaaaake it, it's so adorable.

This story has been stuck in my head for the last hour; there's a part of me in each of those kids. I wish I could chat with both of them for a little while.

You had a lot of them to get through! It shows how many people are rooting for you. Sending you a cyberhug. :)

I'm Irish, so we were cheering on Katie Taylor in her amazing boxing victory (even though boxing gives me mega heebie jeebies and could hardly watch). She lives quite near me, so it was really exciting to see her become the first ever female Olympic lightweight champion! (We had two boxers in the men's events do very

I know, I did kg and cm, but I was still stumped. "To the power of" means multiplied by itself, X number of times, right? So I thought it would be 173 x 173 x 173 x 86.5, since it says "to the power of 2.5".

Not to miss the point, but I find it disappointing that the mother talked to a FOX affiliate, since they're basically paid to be bullies themselves.

Well, I must say that I had never heard of Terry Fox until I saw the other responses to that image, and I'm glad I took the time to look him up. What an extraordinary person.

He is fucking disgusting. When Katie Holmes went on, soon after getting together with Tom Cruise, Letterman was like "So you like older men, huh? I'm an older man..." As if she would just take anyone within a certain age bracket, without regard for actually LIKING them or having a say in the matter. It's such a

I had never heard of this guy til seeing this picture, but it looks like he puts the "fox" in Terry Fox.

If his bike was pumped full of drugs, why are people making such a fuss about his blood tests?

You tell us how it's done but there's nowhere to calculate it, even at the link? What, I'm supposed to use my brain or something? Pffffff.

Let's hope his head explodes and we never have to hear that blowhard's rantings again.

Be glad indeed. For another more in-depth comment ( http://jezebel.com/5977535/?post=56433638) , I googled GQ + George Clooney, GQ + Kate Winslet etc to see the difference in poses / clothing in their photoshoots. I could've gone on all night, comparing all these suited-up men to barely-dressed women. Some of the

Well, the mouse is just the assistant for the human male, ideally. But at this point, if he makes good conversation and treats me right, I might just accept the mouse.
