I really like the poem, and also what she Tweeted after:
I don't think they will bring Federal Hate Crime charges and if they do he won't be found guilty. It's going to be very difficult to prove that this was a hate crime, and you have to prove that the killing was driven by racism and with this case it will be nearly impossible to prove that.
ARRR GHEEE BEEE! Mothafuckahs gots to represent, yo!
Oh my freakin' head!! I'm getting that shirt!
How... how did I not know about this? Do I get the tank top or the tee?!
A picture of an All-American kid who becomes radicalized yet doesn't look like it isn't relevant to a story about... an All-American kid who becomes radicalized? Ooookay.
Context. Rolling Stone has run long-form journalism pieces for going on several decades now, and is actually one of the last publishing bastions for long-form investigative journalism.
Have you read Rolling Stone in the last decade? This "pop culture" magazine is one of the few publications to run long-form, deeply researched articles on the real estate bubble collapse, the banking crisis, the Afghanistan and Iraq wars, foreclosure scams, and national political candidates - the sort of coverage Time…
Probably the most ridiculous argument Anita Sarkeesian has ever made was that she was incredibly morally outraged by the porn ads she saw when she went on torrent sites to illegally download television shows and movies. I lolled out loud the first time I heard that one.
I think the saying "Patriarchy hurts everyone" is pretty much the most truthful statement ever.
That S&M club mission was the best thing I've ever done in a video game. I never laughed so hard in my life XD
I'm glad I'm not the only person who was uncomfortable with the tone of the article. I am the most pro-life person I know, but I cannot bring myself to look at a woman who, with the help of her religious community, has found an adoptive family instead of aborting as anything resembling a bad thing.
Sadly, the amount of hate posted in this thread (and the rest of the comments) is almost equal to the amount of hate that this thread is lambasting.
Of course they don't...
It certainly seems to harken back to another era when even men with "good" jobs didn't stay home with new babies for very long. In 1952 my father took an astonishing week off, but my mother had just had twins and they already had a five year old and three year old.
On the contrary, it does nothing more than incentivize developers to publish incomplete games because why settle for $60 when you can feed people bite sized $5 pieces of the original idea later and make even more money?
This CatChick approves. My kitty comes running at the sound of his name and greets me at the door everytime I come home. I do feel loved. Do I love him when he does his 4 am running across the top my upholstered headboard? Hell no, but him sleeping next to me everyn ight is worth it (right?)
Exactly. I can accept that the comment was awkward and ill conceived. I personally didn't see it as a rape joke and I wasn't offended, but I can see how people would find it uncomfortable.
