You can buy BD players for less than $100 at this point and it's far more flexible replacing your DVD player, CD Player, and providing DVD playback. If you buy a PS3 you get all of that plus a gaming console.

I'm still waiting for Apple to release a Blu-Ray integrated Apple-TV and streaming app system so that I can use not only my legacy media, but also other streaming companies such as Hulu or Netflix.

I'd prefer to see a subscription model, but unfortunately there are too many exclusive streaming agreements between studios and streaming companies at this time.

Actually, they really haven't been swinging from Apple's collective anything for a while. Their coverage has gotten a lot more balanced as to what's good and bad about Apple products in the past couple of years.

I have a tablet, it's not an iPad, and most of the time I really can't be bothered to haul it around with me. That's the real truth of tablets for me. I like the idea, I want to own one, and now that I own one I don't use the thing hand have gone right back to futzing with my iPhone 4S 24/7 instead.
