In theory, 2D platformers, and sprite based RPGs from that era should hold up the best still. Castlevania sure, but also Mega Man, Secret of Mana, and FF Tactics to start.

Dear Atari: I briefly forgot you exist. Your company is a shell of anything it ever was. If anyone asks I’m probably excluding you from my memory because you don’t make hardware anymore.
P.S. Please tell Nintendo to stop making Game & Watch happen. The 12 people who have nostalgia for that hardware are not a viable…
He’s just salty because there are a LOT of PS1/2 games in particularly that have aged horribly.
About 4-5 years ago, EVERYONE was saying how phones > consoles. Popularity was booming, graphics kept getting better... Then things plateaued. Controls generally still suck, battery life for a device you might NEED is a concern, and other factors.
Generation Z is the prevailing name so far.
In order of viability.
Sims 4... while everyone else is getting nice shit, I just got Vampires + Parenthood. Soon it’ll be Injustice 2 and FFXIV:Stormblood, but for now I’m gonna have to just make Sim Superman get his ass kicked by Sim Vampire Batman.
They have a proper Virtual Console. It plays everything great. It’s the rest of the ecosystem that’s the problem.
Even better is their Fallout stuff.
Fallout 3 / New Vegas: Might need for a crafting recipe
Fallout 4: Grab everything, need that copper. Need that crystal.
Tried to show it to my SO last year. For everything it did right, it had a lot of the same crap people give TTG shit for, a lot of filler, and the few good plot lines still kinda came off as cliche.
It’s a problem faced by rational people, who aren’t completely in one side of the spectrum. When the other side makes a rational point, and you don’t want to just bury your head in the sand.
Blue Moon is often the only wheat beer you can get on tap at most restaurants, so excuse the fuck me.
If the roles were reversed and she was being obnoxious about resolution when losing, the assholes on the internet would lose their shit. She has to hold herself to a higher standard than anyone else there sadly. But she’s nailing it.
She has had two separate things happen today with all the petty drama imaginable and she took it in stride.
It’s anecdotal evidence someone heard from someone else, who got it from their IT guy’s intern like 5 years ago that whatever validity the statement had has been lost in half a decade of telephone and outdated information.
I picked up one for $7 at a 7-11 and it works great.

Basically, programming works as a set of instructions it loops through. Top down, a lot of if this- then statements, then repeat from the top. So as it checks it’s list in order, if you were hit, how much thing moved, if you pressed a button, it needs to do this at a set frequency. An easy solution, particularly on…
It’ll be an easy enough fix for sure. It was just an oversight. PC QA was probably done locked at 30fps. Just saying, back then, fixed hardware, no plans of a rerelease almost a decade later, I mean there was really no reason not to do it how they did.
It was designed for PS3, the most frustrating system to dev for. Literally the last thing on their mind was gonna be a PC release 5 years later.
Point of note. PS3 was more powerful on paper, however due to the unique CELL architecture, it was a nightmare to program for. Most games (particularly western) were developed for X360 first, which was more like any other console, then ported to PS3, causing the games to perform mildly/moderately worse. Vanquish was…
