It was built from scratch for PS3, so there wouldn’t be any engine shortcuts or easy ways of doing things. I wouldn’t say they didn’t expect anyone to notice, but they probably only playtested the PC version at 30fps. Maybe did a benchmark at 60. Huge oversights for sure still.

I mean, you’re probably right that it’s place has come. Look to the old DOS games that were locked to CPU cycles that we don’t do anymore. In fact, I can think of even more issues to FPS locked engines than have even been said...

Why not? It’s a free system that already gives you a consistent amount of ticks per second without having to build one yourself. When you’re trying to get a game out on a budget, you’re not worried about ports 5+ years later, so it’s not a primary concern.

It’s one of the simpler ways you learn to code a game at first. It’s (usually) a known constant to which you can bind the gameplay loop to. every time it draws a new frame it’s exactly 1/30th of a second on consoles. It’s like when if you play an old DOS game without dosbox, those were bound to the CPU, so without a

And it appears to be already gone.

Trainer Level, which dictates what is available to you, persists.
Retired (Max Level) Magikarp give you a motivation bonus for faster training.
Coins and money are kept, as are the upgrades to your pond.
So you’re always progressing, more or less. It’s less about the Magikarp and more about the trainer/pond.

Not that I’ll ever be able to find it again. But for original Unreal Tournament (1999) there was a really good giant map I liked. Took place in a living room, believe there was a shock rifle or flak cannon in the TV?

Covered that in a different response. TL;DR is that they were still making Rayman games before Despicable Me, along with Rabbids, however only 2 Rayman have come out in the 7 years since, and they were both likely still in production before Minions were popular.

I mean, Field/Street Hockey is a sport people play in South America. No ice needed.

He still FEELS pain and gets injured, so it’s likely he can still GET drunk. He just won’t stay there for very long. Young Wolverine probably mostly drank for the sake of drinking, have a Canadian beer and be emotional, even if he’s not getting drunk.

It was worth the mention. Originally, I completely got the dates wrong honestly. But I refuse to be wrong about something insignificant on the internet.

Persona Q hit Nintendo, and Persona Arena hit Xbox. Other SMT stuff as you’ve noted hits wherever. So it’s very unlikely they have a blanket deal with Sony. And obviously since they’re not gonna outright say anything (so people aren’t waiting for a FES/Golden), we’re still at the “anything’s possible” stage.

After the first game’s success, they dropped Rayman from it and just made it Raving Rabbids, however there was still two Rayman games left to come. Assuming Origins was already in dev when Despicable me came out almost 7 years ago, they’ve really only actually (maybe) greenlit one Rayman game since.

I mean, even if their dev team is all generic soldier:76 looking dudes. You’d think someone would have the common sense to AT LEAST reach out to someone outside of the company with knowledge. Instead it’s just “you’re all stereotypes now”.

As an american, I want to buy some of these ironically... do asian countiries do the same when we butcher their shit?

Ever since Minions made “cute” obnoxious little shits popular, they’ve been banking everything on the Rabbids.

No problem. It would normally be reasonable enough to assume/speculate WotC largely pulling out of all cons because large companies have been that obnoxiously petty in the past. Just not this time (at least not yet).

Having worked for conventions in the past, I have too many possibilities to speculate. It can honestly be as simple as some petty drama BS. As well as obviously any number of marketing decisions.

The problem is that it DOESN’T carry that label.

Not all other conventions, actually they very specifically “pulled out” of ONLY gencon. They dropped a list of cons for the year and were very specifically like “we’re skipping gencon, kthx”
