Theres quite a few PS3-PC cross overs (not sure if relevant but you can even sign upto steam using your psn account). As it stands Xbox will never do the same they keep their network super tight and locked down. Suprising though how theyve spread the live game wordament over all the mobile platforms now.

I think you're missing the point too. Without backers there is no "oh ill just buy it at retail" the whole point is that these games will only get made with your help. You fund if its the sort of thing youd like to see get made not because you think your getting discounts for jumping on the bandwagon early.
