Not a single one of these had a “seismic impact on pop culture”. Most were underwhelming for the attendees, and forgotten in weeks, if not days.

Beyond that, even within videogames they were sexualized long before FF7. I can think of more than a few PC and Sega/SNES games with sexualized skirts that predate FF7.
Apparently Ashley (the author) has never been to Japan.
Give more men in games skirts and let’s make this perviness properly equal opportunity, thank you very much. Make skirts gender neutral.
“Games like FFVII recontextualized the skirt as feminine clothing item not only for women to wear, but to be sexualized in.”
This strikes me as an odd blanket statement. Skirts have been sexualized for far longer than their appearance in videogames, and their usage in games is reflective of their usage in reality…
Dark mode option. Remove Takeout/AV club/ Quartz / Gizmonda ads. And for F**ks sake, remove all slideshow articles.
Frankly, it was time for an update.
So you guys made a new banner and kept the same shit front page layout? Got it.

If you get 100 people obsessed with having a perfect body and only 2 are nuts then thats honestly a pretty good ratio.
The title of this made me think contestants were accused of assault during filming or off camera but no, they are charged outside of the production. So in honesty the show has absolutely nothing to do with their charges except they once appeared on it. So just what is it that you are trying to insinuate here?
What on earth is this article? You say it’s steeped in assault allegations and then it turns out to be a throwaway line at the very end where it turns out two (2!%) of the (unnamed) contestants have allegations against them. Is that even higher than the average at all?
It has literally nothing to do with the show, or…
Power adjustable seats are the shit. You really have to be a Luddite to hate on that particular feature. Same with rear-view cameras - how can any Camaro owner hate on that feature with that wonderful rear visibility?
Not sure about all you poors, but the auto stop/start in my Jag is imperceptible. the HVAC stays on, the seat heat stays on and I never wait for the engine to kick back on.
So it doesn’t require the touchscreen. It’s like complaining they provided a way to change volume on the touchscreen when you can also change it from the steering wheel button/scroll wheel. Oh noes...they provided two options!
1000% disagree with the Adjustable Power Seats....
In case anybody doesn’t believe you (since they have said a lot of false stuff in this article, including that hazard lights are on the touchscreen?!), here’s a 2023 Tesla Model S center console from the owner’s manual
The hate boner is very strong for Tesla on this site.
Teslas have gotten worse since that: now you even need to use the touchscreen if you want to shift into reverse
Generated imagery doesn’t “still” contain the “signatures” of an “original” artist; it frequently includes elements that look vaguely like abstract representations of signatures constructed from first principles. THIS IS NOT A SAMPLING/REMIXING TECHNOLOGY.
