This, you are 100% right and in 5 years everyone will have moved on from the hand wringing. I look forward to that day so that all the comments aren’t just variations of personal attacks by people who hate new technology.

I didn’t say that. It is a fact though that indie titles are a dime a dozen. I’m sure someone somewhere is excited about these, but that isn’t a “stacked lineup”

Of the 7 games, 5 of them are tiny indie titles that are on gamepass because that’s the only way they’ll get exposure rather than being buried in the thousands of other indie games on Steam...

Who cares. AI Art is here to stay, and this is great for indie games since having nice art for their game now takes minutes instead of hundreds (or thousands) of dollars and weeks of work.

“It’s stacked!!!”

Fixing the worst thing about Metroidvanias would be straight up removing back tracking. I won’t even play them because the backtracking is so immensely boring and annoying.

Pretty sure that’s bad timing. i.e. I landed on Mars, and talked to guy to repair my ship “can’t right now, I have a huge backlog!” came back an in-day game later and he was standing around doing nothing and let me get my ship repaired.

Speaking only to #2:

Ah yes, me looking at paintings and then making one that incorporates what I saw is “plagiarism”

And here’s where your lack of knowledge is showing.

Ah, I thought either DeWalt tools had acquired kotaku or someone accidentally turned on colorblind mode. Turns out your web designer just sucks... you didn’t event make it consistent. The comments still have the old magenta and blue...

All the good writers left years ago too though... these days they just complain about twitter drama for the most part.

> But that’s literally how AI art generators work.

I for one am looking forward to ChatGPT replacing your job so I don’t have to read stupid takes like this from bloggers anymore.

A little harsh, but definitely true. If working at Gamestop is so bad, then switch jobs to a different minimum wage job. Virtually every small store or restaurant in my city has help wanted posters on the front door. Nothing is forcing you to stay at Gamestop making a pittance for 10 years.
