Alternatively (and more likely the truth), they don’t want to waste time debugging it when they have more important things to do...hence they pay you to do it...

It doesn’t though....you can turn it on and sideload games no problem because it’s just running Android....

Wow, Clueless Hero actually hit home for once. That’s pretty much all adult life, but replace “want to hang out this weekend” with: work, cleaning, dealing with family issues, etc

Your top rated movie out of those is “A quiet place, but what if they had to be blind instead”

IIRC Gemini USD (GUSD) is fully backed 1-1 with dollars and is audited, so out of the options I think it’s the safest. Second safest (in my opinion) is DAI, which is _not_ backed by dollars, but is decentralized and automatically adjusts itself to maintain its peg.

Keep in mind that this is just an issue with the underlying infrastructure. Ethereum is having congestion issues right now but USDC also exists on other blockchains like Algorand and has settlements times of a couple seconds and current fees run around 0.001 Algo (about 2 cents right now) per transaction.

Man...it’d be a dream if my wife did housework...

I’ve never met anyone in my life who would just eat a peach like an apple, skin and all...

> I don’t particularly enjoy the feel of trichome on my lips

Wow...so lifehacker is now reduced to buzzfeed style slideshows ripped off random twitter polls...jesus christ...

I’d love any new alien race that is _actually_ different. All the existing ones have the same “classes” and similar functionality between them bar a few minor differences (like cabal sword guys having jetpacks while hive sword guys have shields).

That would be ripe for abuse, but I could see Valve providing a model that tracks playtime and uses some average (or something smarter) to pick a refund time between 30 mins and 2 hours or something like that.

But this is more akin to naming that character Super Koopa Bro and expecting Nintendo to be ok with it...

> For me though, the lack of a built-in keyboard isn’t great, as the first thing I’d do would be to get rid of SteamOS and install Windows on it (so I can play my whole library and also non-Steam games)

I think the main purpose of supporting 4K would be
1. All system UIs can be rendered in 4K (as well as non-videogame content) increasing crispness and ease of use.

Maybe get glasses? The difference is pretty astounding unless your TV is under 32 inches

Thank you

The why? Is because it isn’t newsworthy. I don’t need a weekly article that the “strawberry blue moon is happening!!!” because no one cares. They are all arbitrary names for an event that happens monthly. Blood moons I give you since it turns reddish...but again it’s such an over exaggerated name.

God I hate these “strawberry moon”, “blue moon”, “blood moon” “super blue blood ultra moon”

Not surprising at all.  The code likely just amounts to a random timer that returns True or False. No reason to rewrite something that simple. i.e. Most modern programming languages rely on C at some level and most of the C core functionality was written in the late 1970s and 1980s.
