Donuts are fine when eaten in moderation :)

An example would be a donut. There are barely any nutrients in a donut, but it has a ton of calories, thus if you're trying to eat healthy those calories won't really contribute to your nutrition.

I think it implies people eat more in celebration than the extra they work off.
