Thank you for writing this article. Nowell was aware of his position/positioning in bringing other cultural influences back in to pop and rock venues AND that band had some unforced errors.

Since the movie “Outbreak” was sort of an adaptation of this, I was expecting a comparison.

Back in High School, my nickname was The Hot Zone. Granted, that was mostly on account of the flop sweat, but it was still a cool nickname.

I would honestly love it if it was just a re-dub of the movie with Taika and all the Kiwi’s in his acting circle.

Man, this is great because if there’s one thing I always think when watching Akira, its “wow I wish I were watching this but not animated. Maybe instead of animated, some green-screen CGI behind a group of live actors. That would be way better.”

There is no worthwhile narrative reason for this movie series to continue to be spun out, especially with the miss to hit ratio. But as long as it continues to be the only people-firing-rocket launchers-at-skull-faced-robots game in town, I’ll keep checking ‘em out.

Maybe they will meet-cute, fall in love and have a baby:  Jizz Thrower.
