why?
why?
that would have broke up the room. I wonder how his teammates and coaches would have taken that? That would have been epic.
“No matter how bad traffic is, it doesn’t take two hours and 15 minutes to get from the Queens-Midtown Tunnel to Flushing. and I hope the Yankees lose so the New York tabloids can spend the next few days devoting all their resources to this story.”
These two statements mean you are out of touch with New York. A fatal…
Cochran is that good that from the depths of hell he can find the tricks...if he aint beaing eaten by ticks.
I will do better the next time.
God fucking dammit! Even when we humiliate a team, take their division away from them they ***still*** find a way to fuck it up and let the Nats celebrate on our field. Later cruel cruel world. Until tomorrow anyways.
Luck looks disgusting? Compared to Flacco sure bc he’s elite but not to the average guy.
the reporters and producers doing this don’t like it any more than you do, and aren’t any more crass about it than you would be. They are human.
Didn’t they have another game to play? I love the celebration but they are battling for home field. Kinda gotta delay that celebration a few hours bc they could lose the ALCS by getting drunk.
I don’t know your athletic talents Kevin, but I’m guessing from your writings you don’t take sports too seriously. There are many people that do and they don’t like to have it rubbed in when you beat them. This is about as in your face as you can get in baseball. I’d be pissed too.
Mets fans are the Crossfitters of baseball agony
Fair enough? How about running to first? Maybe Papelbon has a point!
He blocked me well before any of this crap. He told me that my parents wasted a good education on me. I told him I paid for my own education and my Dad served in the Navy and just try saying that to my 80-year-old mothers face. Then I got blocked. But we had several discussions prior.
One thing I hate is when people tell athletes they should retire. (I’m not saying this was done in this article) They are making more money than they ever will at their next job, and this is a sport they love. As for legacy, I think playing this great at 39 adds to it.
If you say he should retire bc of medical reasons I get that. But he’s still one of the top 30 QB’s in the game so why should anyone tell him he shouldn’t do what he loves, while making millions doing it?
He isn’t just learning a new offense, he’s learning a new body. Things that he used to be able to do he can’t. So he is going to have to learn to adjust and learn what he can and can’t do. He’s obviously smart enough to figure it out and I certainly would still consider him a top 10-12 QB. I’d love for the Jets to get…
Is it poor timing to say there is definitely an argument with Bench and Piazza? If so I’ll wait.
I would not want to be Jennifer after that.
Brilliant. Whoever told him should be given a medal and the kid sold it great.
He looked like Joey Crawford on that one.
Not sure of the year but Palmeiro was on the Cubs. I would sit 2nd tier in home run territory at Shea. I caught a home run during BP. Palmeiro looked at me and told me to throw him the ball. I said no. He told me to throw it. So I did. He turned and faked to throw it back to the field but then chucked it back to me. I…
