I have a question. Can someone think of a movie or TV show where the woman goes all badass revenge-y Taken style because someone killed her husband/lover? For men it is such a common trope, but I have trouble thinking of one for women. In fact, the only thing I can think of is Catelyn Stark, but she sought revenge

“NO ONE IS GETTING DRAFTED” is a strawman in my opinion.

The only comment I’ll make is that I didn’t mean to blame women for not enlisting — I see why you read it that way, but what I meant was that it’s a circle. Women don’t enlist, so the army remains disproportionately male and sexist, so women don’t enlist, et cetera.

Miss you Larry ;(

I don’t know the source for the statistics you’re using, but it’s worth pointing out that until 2011 men could be discharged for reporting same-sex rape under Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. That alone calls the male numbers into question — reporting a rape could mean losing everything. (Though I’ll grant you that even true

That’s ... insane pretzel logic, there. Of course I don’t want anybody to be raped, and the fact you think that’s what I’m saying is insulting.

Except you’re much more likely to be raped as a female in the military than a male. Roughly 2% of men enlisted report sexual assault compared to 25% of women. As soon as women talk about equality men want to bring up the draft which as you noted hasn’t affected the majority of young people. It’s disingenuous and a

The military does not handle sexual assault well. Like, at all. But it’s not an argument against having women register for the draft.

Oooouf. Not like rapists never use anything else, like a gun or a knife or drugs to incapacitate their victims or secure their compliance. Or like men can’t also be raped. Or that women can also be rapists.

Attempt at performance art or not, this woman seems pretty darned unhinged to me. Here’s hoping part of her sentence is a good long course of therapy.

Oh that totally explains why he raped, murdered, and disemboweled them!

Was it just me, or did Sir Anthony just act the fuck out of the last few seconds of that trailer. Sweet Jeebus!

NOT MUCH BETTER

In the sex work industry, that is low... particularly if you are selling the rights to the filming of that act in perpetuity, getting nothing from the sale of said video.

Fair enough point about the blackout/close to blackout. Reading comprehension fail.

You are simplifying what happened here way, way, way too much. Would lying to someone to have sex with them qualify as rape in every single situation? No. In this situation where it is implied that money would change hands in exchange for the sex? I’d say yes. The consent was based on that.

I don’t know about you but 100$/hour to fuck some random dude and letting him film it, is pretty low.

$100 is pretty cheap when you think about how much money that video will make for the company. It’s pretty clear that you don’t see sex work as work or value the skills that it takes to make a great video.

Considering that porn never goes ways and continues to make money long after it’s uploaded, 100$ an hour is really low.

That’s ridiculous: if you have sex with your boyfriend and find out it’s actually his twin, how is that not rape? You didn’t consent to sex with this person. These women didn’t consent to sex with a private citizen, but rather a recruiter. He lied to get them to put out. This feels like a degree of rape, but I’m not
