Because a magazine is linear. I don't have to jump around all over the place to read things like I have to on a website, nor do I have to wait for the magazines page to load.

And many are thriving. It's always been like that.

After Game Players took a hiatus and came back in 1993, it seemed to be more geared to young readers than GamePro was accused of being. I was a young reader, so that never bothered me. Looking back at them now though, they have a very heavy dosage of 90s cheesiness :)

You sit because you are required to for work I am guessing, not because you NEED to sit or else you get withdrawals, or because your life revolves around sitting and if you aren't sitting, you don't know what to do with yourself.
