When you take a photo in gt5 the game tweeks it a lot, it adds anti aliasing, dof and lots of stuff; same thing when you watch a replay, it adds dof and some motion blur (that's why it lowers to 30 fps), in game in GT5 the game has to run at 60 fps so a lot of the pretty stuff has to go because the ps3 can't render it…
