Your instincts are good. I guess it's on there because: Kotaku. It's not even in a top 20 of PC games if that list is given any thought. Even in a list of pure MMOs, it's going to be behind Guild Wars 2 and World of Warcraft.

I'd agree, but it deserves a spot a hell of a lot more than the final fantasy MMO. What the gibbering fuck is that doing there??

Isn't the Video Game Baftas the proper one anyway?

Very different games, tbh. Unless you just lump everything with a spaceship into one category.

I think the hype is slightly more justified with Titanfall than Destiny, as we've actually seen gameplay.

As a Brit I've been reading this whole thing unfold with puzzlement on my face. So she took cocaine a couple of times in her life: What does that have to do with her husband being abusive? It's fucking ridiculous what the media and the defense cling to. I think her cookery shows are bloody ridiculous, but she is one

Because unlike with Halo, they aren't chained to Microsoft for this one. I won't be at all surprised if a PC version turns up 6-18 months after the console versions. Whether PC gamers will even care by that point, is another matter entirely.

You don't. You've got the same setup as me, and I'm just waiting for a Steam Machine.

It's only an advantage if the game turns out to be good and if it turns out to be better than every other PC game that exists at the time. PC users got over the Halo and Final Fantasy franchises pretty quickly.

I'm definitely a nostalgist. The other types fucking irritate me as well.

Certainly, but upgrading the 3d models and doing higher-resolution textures and higher quality sound would be what I think we all want to see, tbh. No-one's asking for the game to be changed drastically.

When it's IX, I'll bite.

Really well-realised world. More of this sort of thing, please!

One of the best stats in this news release (not mentioned in the article) is that one of the top contenders for play is still Skyrim with 70k players: A single player RPG! Fuck those suits who claim that single-player is dead and everything has to be social-media friendly.

That anomoly is easily solved by taking out your network cable/disabling your wireless connection. If it detects a network of any kind, it thinks it can have a crack at taking you online. Its kind of idiot-proofing gone wrong, really.

It really isn't a case of strengths and weaknesses though, at least not consistently relevant ones. Console strengths: exclusives, more mainstream, more convenient to use. PC strengths: Everything else.

This. Offline mode works fine, if you know how to use a PC beyond turn on/'why my games no work?'

Nope. Because PC users are the master race. There's nothing else to be said. ;-)

No they don't. Unless you mean 'a case fan here or there', which is not the same thing at all.

My point is, it's needless, tacky and fucking annoying.
