Thank you!

Really what to be amazed? Look up what it takes to be a midwife in your state (assuming you’re American). It’s terrifying how little training they need to become a certified professional midwife.

36M (UK) here.

If they’re unable to control themselves they should be locked up. You don’t wait for a rabid dog to bite someone, you shoot it on sight.

So, which one of these twatwaffles owns a testing lab? What about their contributors? Wasn’t this an issue back when they wanted drug testing for government assistance?

I’m waiting to see what the financial damage will be when I inheirit my grandfathers 1850's farmhouse. They renovated when they moved in (1950's) and having changed anything but the tv and couches since. The house looks like a time capsule (wood paneling, green carpets, rotary phones, massive stand alone radio...)

These are the same people who want the well-paying manufacturing jobs their parents and grandparents had, but also want to keep their Walmart prices.

My local library is 10km away and only open about 20 hrs a week. I can’t camp out there waiting for my boss to email me.

When in reality they’re bed-hoping between their 3 “wives” and paying lowered property taxes on their unfinished homes..

I’m going to a b*tch.

Tax credit reminds me of a program we had here called Second Career. Essentially the government would pay for you to go (back) to college if you couldn’t afford to. Sounds great right?

Because not being poor isn’t motivation enough? I know a lot of poor people, and not one of them is content with being poor.

And not everyone can have a management position. Not everyone can “move up”.

I don’t know how many people told me to go apply at the retirement home in my little town.

That “they’re not poor, they have a car/fridge/cell phone!!” mentality.

I was in a similar situation when I was single. I couldn’t afford rent as a single parent making minimum wage so my grandfather let me live in a little house he owned. I didn’t pay rent because he’d have to claim it, so we agreed I’d pay the property taxes and insurance. Sounds like a win-win right?
