you are right to feel that way. i have recollected my behavior when handling someones phone in the same situation and i dont do it. crazytrain wants to go through your phone and if you have personal stuff on it, its your fault for having it on there and not theirs for snooping around

it isn't an "unusual" word for me; i was making fun of you for using it twice in one sentence. i think you would be better off with the word-a-day calender if you couldn't think of another word to express your hatred. i mean, come on, 3 words in between using it the second time.

you're right that these stereotypes are silly, but it is also silly to deny that we have different cultures that affect us and ultimately how we are perceived by others. not all americans are fat for example, but i think there is something to that stereotype which is the influx of fast food restaurants over the last

someone should reply to me with: yes we can use services and complain about it, and we can go to gizmodo and complain about what they post. and you're right. and i can complain about your reasoning. and you can complain about my complaining. why am i bothering?

well i think a lot of these posts about google + are getting at the same annoyance. yes you can turn that feature off, but why do they keep adding features that people want to turn off? it is judging the feature for being implemented in the first place.

i had a discussion once with someone in the u.k. and i ascertained that there is some sort of emotional oppression in europe where people are not supposed to show a lot of feelings as if it is a sign of weakness. it might be completely wrong but i do think americans are more comfortable, especially in this time

why can't gizmodo bash android/google? i don't understand. you must be very loyal to them to make a comment like this. i have an android phone and i love and use google services so why am i not upset about them complaining about google +? we can all use google and complain about it. we can buy iphones and complain

as you can see by skimming this thread, there are other posters agreeing with the story. the motivation for them implementing the connection to various accounts and also complaining about one of the companies that is connected to one of the accounts are completely different. where is the connection? they complain

see? it works!

i think you can perceive it in two ways —but it is important to consider both in the end— and those two ways are: a big company wanting more traffic for their benefit, and like you said, an easy way to encourage people to discuss things. "liking" something or clicking +1 and basically any other response to something

i hope you think this comment is worth typing

yeah, i agree. i think it is good to motivate people to ... well, motivate people. it is great when people encourage each other and feel comfortable discussing things. i think the article might be focusing on the way it is implemented, though. i'm not really sure though because i haven't seen it for myself.

what is wrong with g+ bashing? how is it different from any other bashing?

there is a choice of 3 different accounts to use and also i don't see how it is a big deal to complain about services used every day much like everyone here complains about how shitty this site's layout is but still visits every day.

i don't see how that is relevant to the story at all

oh i wasn't making fun of your stance on facebook. i dont really use it at all, actually. it was a light hearted jab, but its motivation seemed to be a smug sense of superiority. i feel superior to you as a result.

ok i just re-enabled it and i changed my mind. now that i am vulnerable to these things, i don't like it anymore.

i deleted my facebook account just now and suddenly i understand how you feel. i feel inexplicable joy at the thought of humans like our moms and friends and teachers having their facebook accounts compromised because i'm not in danger of it anymore.

what is the reasoning behind you liking malicious facebook extensions because you don't use facebook anymore? the only conclusion i can come to is that you are the worst kind of person.

someone's word-a-day calender had the word "abhor" recently
