Tesla stopped doing it for couple of reasons:

The problem with hydrolox is that the thrust is so low. Great ISP, but lower thrust. As a result, you need boosters just to get off the ground (SLS, STS, Delta IV, etc).

When you add in the expense and difficulty in handling liquid hydrogen, it makes sense why people are drifting towards methalox.

He’s going to end up paying $11 billion in taxes this year..the largest individual tax bill in history.

Tesla’s manual states that driver input will override automatic systems (and this is always the correct option). However if collision avoidance thinks there will be a crash, it will limit power to 1/3rd normal.

Except Tesla is going to be incredibly close. Plus, they will be one of few, if not the only one, to increase production this year.

True f’n story:

My wife finally got fed up and told me I needed to take the boys (6 and 4) to get their flu shots next time.

That time came around and before we left, I had the whole “time to man-up” motivational speech going. They were practically barking before we left. Easy day I thought.

We have to sit in the waiting

Lol, loser computer nerd.

Mode 1 in a F-18 Hornet will land the plane on a carrier in almost all conditions with no input from the pilot.

We've had 3 Teslas over the last 7 years. Insurance costs through USAA are about the same as the Volvo I had earlier. Stop spreading lies.

This is the exact reason why Elon Musk didn’t want to use dealers . He stated way back then that dealerships that also sold ICE cars would be poorly informed about and disincentivized to sell electric cars.

I use FSD on highway driving every day. It is VERY relaxing. It’s even better on my 13 hour vacation drives.

*rolls eyes*

The FDA only requires that a drug be better than the drug it is replacing. If FSD is safer on average than a human driver, that’s a win for everyone.

I keep hoping that they'll fully implement the eye tracking and relax the holding the wheel requirement.

What I hope is that they do a comparison to the rate of accidents with purely human drivers.

I disengage by accident all the time just moving the wheel enough to let the car I’m still paying attention.

Tesla and Musk agree with the EV credits, just not the extra $4500 for union produced cars. Tesla is undisputed ly the most American made car... By a lot. And they pay over scale. Yet, their cars will be disadvantaged to Ford and GM that ships most of its jobs and parts suppliers out of the country.

Did we all miss the line that he donated $28 million to charity. Seriously, nothing pleases you people.

I’ve had mine for about a week. I unashamedly love it. I love it so goddamn much. I can’t put it down. And I long for it while at work (can’t bring phones into the building).

It is simply a joy to hold. I end up holding it like a small book most of the time with two hands. I don’t know why. It feels great in one hand
