This is completely the reason Elon Musk gives why Tesla doesn’t let dealerships sell their cars. Tesla had no confidence that dealerships would be able accurately sell electric cars.


In Virginia, car registration for EV tags (which gives you access to HOV lanes) costs 2x as much as regular tags. I don’t particularly like paying 2x as much, but it’s completely fair.

$600 would buy you a 15-50 NEMA charger for your house. Recharges Teslas at around 30 miles / hr. Plug it in when you get home. Set the car to charge whenever off-peak hours start. Wake up every morning with a full tank of gas.

It’s a paradigm shift.  In six years, we’ve charged at the public charger nearest my house

I rented a Toyota Yaris once. It had the instrument cluster in the center, and I hated it with a passion.

Thats what happened to us. After our first Tesla, everything else seemed so much worse.

You’d be surprised how little you actually look at the guages and drive based on visual cues around you.

My wife surprised me while we were vacationing in Vegas by suggesting we go to a strip club. (We’ve been married for over 20 years, and she is very shy)

You can choose how far you want to charge it. On the screen, it has lines for “daily driving” and “road trips”

Ha, I remember waiting in line at midnight at Best Buy for Halo 2. For Halo 3, I happened to be in Walmart at 1130 pm the day before it was supposed to be released. Kid unlocked the cabinet and sold me one. I was like the only guy in the electronics section.

The biggest bonus is that merges are effortless. The drag race start is cool for like 2 months. After that, you start caring about maximizing efficiency and range.

I got in at $83/ share pre-split. I’ve ready sold enough, to cover my initial investment.

Had a model S. Now own a model Y and a model X. Easily the best cars I’ve ever owned. By a lot.  Everyone I’ve met that has driven one says the same.

1. It’s unclear if all 3 engines are supposed to start up for landing. The one engine that doesn’t gimbals out of the way before the other two start up.

2. The other two engines started, but were fuel starved due to the low header pressure (as I stated before). One

All evidence is that engine shut downs on ascent were on purpose.
