I've never lived in Tokyo, but I've been there a few times for months at a time.

Yeah, I guess I've never really been in South America. But in Europe, the Middle East, and in Japan, most of the time I've said I'm from the United States I get a blank look. It's a little better in England and France. In England they say I'm from "The States", but they refer to me as an "American". In France, I'm…
Being a white westerner in Japan is one thing. Being a black westerner in Japan is another. But it's weird...it's not really a black/Asian/white thing (although I'm sure it exists). The Japanese really look down on African blacks...and there's a lot of them in the bigger cities...mostly doing low level jobs.
For a long time, sports gamers preferred the Genesis to the SNES. I think the popularity of Madden and NHL 95 carried the Genny for a couple of years.
I get where you're coming from, but you got to admit that your specific situation does not represent the majority of console users. If you wanted a net box for your TV, there are much cheaper options like the Apple TV. Hell, most TVs nowadays have a Netflix app built in. The value in the 360 / One is multiplayer…
See my above comment. You are in the minority of console users I would wager. It's not going to move units and its not going to save most users any money. For the most part, people that are watching Netflix through their 360's / Ones are people that play online anyway. Why would you buy a 360 just for Netflix? An…
Also, Xbox live gets me value above and beyond Netflix...which I can watch anywhere (e.g. my phone). Netflix is like an added perk of Xbox Live, not a reason to join Gold.
I'm not defending anything. I'm just saying the majority of people that have Xbox's play online...that's kind of the hook of the last / this gen console gaming. If you play online, you already have Gold.
This is totally a non-issue. If you have an Xbox, and you are tech-smart enough to watch a lot of Net TV (Netflix, Amazon, etc.), then you probably already have Xbox Live anyway. I get the outrage in principle, but in practical sense it really doesn't matter. Besides, it's like $6 / month if you pay full price. …
1st of all, Bungie didn't want Halo anymore. The reason they bought themselves out from Microsoft was because they didn't want to make anymore Halo games.
I liked Halo 4 a lot. It wasn't my favorite one, but I liked it a lot more than 2 & 3. I'll admit the Forerunner weapons were just re-skinned human weapons, but the story, level design, and music were all top notch.
The U.S. is actually really good at making democracies. It just takes 150k troops and 50 years. When we actually commit, we're good at it. When we try to do it on the cheap or try to do it fast, we fail.
The U.S. is actuall
I don't know, Miranda from ME did funny things to me whenever you saw her walking. I think my wife could tell and that's why she hated that character. Good call on Kasumi though. The DOA version alone puts her in the semifinals
Why does everyone forget the Black X-wing pilot? And of course you forgot Mace Mutherfuckin Windu
I never played StarCraft (weird considering I'm a sci-fi nut), but Warcraft and C&C were crazy similar. Well, Warcraft 1&2 and C&C up to Red Alert II were anyway. I guess I never played Warcraft 3 or C&C Generals either.
I never fought Santiago. Because I was always Santiago! Down with that stupid planet and all its stupid mind worms. I'm nuking and terraforming everything!
Good Start. Here are the things we need next:
1. Be able to snap Skype, with Skype in the small section
Never mind the 2001 end date. What is important is it's 1956 start date. The confederate battle flag was added SPECIFICALLY to protest desegregation efforts.
Kind of like how I would find a 0-0 soccer match boring, but Europeans may declare it the best match ever?
